Hannah Cross is a rising talent in the poetry scene. She slams. She open-mics. She emcees. And now she’s featuring! It’s been a long time coming because Hannah has collaborated with almost all of the core members of the poetry community. In fact, collaborating is what she loves the most! Whether it be writing poems, starting non-profits (she’s our accountant!), or playing her banjo, she’s laughing and smiling and encouraging you to do the same.
GuloGulo: What got you into writing?
Hannah: I use it to process life events; as a therapeutic tool to make sense of the world.
GuloGulo: Why do you like writing poetry?
Hannah: There’s so much… preserving and solidifying memory, exploring the world (real or not), as a gift, to enhance my life.
GuloGulo: Where do you see poetry taking you?
Hannah: Staying connected to the community and supporting the arts.
GuloGulo: How will you be of support?
Hannah: We are all inherently vulnerable. I never want to overstep someone in their art, but to be there and help.
GuloGulo: Do you have any pets?
Hannah: 2 cats. And one, Poco, likes to stick his face right into Apollo’s butthole and sniff real hard.
Hannah!
