Mas (formally Thommy) is an early comrade of GuloGulo. They are musician, poet, artist. Life intervenes at times, but Mas has been steady on their creative course — now more likely to be strumming their acoustic guitar at the Fox Den than getting rowdy with the GuloGulo poets. They were recruited to feature over half a year ago, and now they’re back!
GuloGulo: Can you describe your style of poetry?
Mas: I’m painting a picture, a word-salad.
GuloGulo: What do you like about creative writing?
Mas: I’ve always had a love for music. Maybe I got interested in poetry through lyrics..as with internal rhymes; the multiple meanings, it tickels my brian.
GuloGulo: What is this poetry game you do?
Mas: I stumble upon nicely shaped phrases and draw lines around them with rhymes.
GuloGulo: How is rhyming an effective poetic device?
Mas: It lets different sounds continue the thought… when the rhyme dictates the poem.
