Cornerstone Gallery Ekphrastic Poetry Reading
April 3 @ 7:30 pm – 8:15 pm
Get ready for an evening where the visual and literary arts collide during a mid-reception and poetry reading featuring the work of artist Michael Safran. Several GuloGulo poets will perform original ekphrastic poems (works written in response to Safran’s paintings) bridging the gap between the canvas and the spoken word. This event offers a unique opportunity to experience a live “conversation” between art forms, celebrating the deep connection between local creators and the community.
5:00 PM – Doors open to the public for open gallery hours
6:00 PM – First Friday Art Walk starts in Downtown Fort Collins and the mid-reception starts for Possibilities
6:30 PM – Band starts playing
7:30 PM – Poetry Readings start (with introduction from the artist and curator)
8:15 PM – Band continues playing
9:00 PM – Mid-reception finishes and doors close to the public
