Sharing Your Work with GuloGulo
GuloGulo Poetry Collective is committed to supporting poets at every stage of their creative journey, including protecting the integrity and publication rights of their work. Please read the following before submitting poems or appearing in our content.
Publication Rights and First Publication
When you submit a poem or other creative work to the GuloGulo website or share work that is posted to our social media accounts, that posting constitutes the first publication of that piece. This matters because many literary magazines, journals, and anthologies require that work submitted to them has not been previously published, including on websites and social media.
If you intend to submit a poem to outside publications, please do not share it with us for web or social media posting. We want your work to find its best home.
The GuloGulo e-Newsletter
You can request to receive the monthly GuloGulo e-newsletter, which is only for our subscriber community and is not currently published on the internet at large. Sharing a poem in the newsletter does not constitute first publication and does not affect your ability to submit that work elsewhere. You can submit poems for the e-newsletter using our Contact page.
Photography and Media Consent
Photos and videos taken at GuloGulo events may be used on our website and social media accounts to document and celebrate our community. By attending and participating in GuloGulo events, you consent to being photographed or recorded for these purposes.If you would prefer not to be photographed or would like a photo removed, please let us know at events or you can reach us using our Contact page. We will honor your request promptly.
